Then . . . Herbert Hoelscher founded Hoelscher Electric Company in 1936 in response to the Rural Electrification Act of 1936. He and his sons, Walter, Jerome, Francis, William, Richard, Raymond and Edgar worked as electricians for commercial buildings, schools, grain elevators and cotton gins. Herbert retired in 1967, leaving Hoelscher Electric Company to Jerome J. Hoelscher, who was honored by the National Federation of Independent Businesses in 1993 for best demonstrating commitment to the economic and overall well-being of the community.
And now . . . Hoelscher Electric Company is licensed to provide electrical maintenance, repair and service in Texas and has a customer base which includes Nueces, Kleberg, San Patricio, Bee and other South Texas counties. With new technology and updated estimation software, we insure competitive bidding and estimation on all jobs. The business has endured for over 75 years and has now expanded under the leadership of the third generation owners: Ronnie Hoelscher, Linda Visor, Marlene Hoelscher and Tim Hoelscher.
